Continuing our work with Cisco to identify the cause of the recent instability affecting our core routers. We have been asked to provide Cisco with some diagnostic data every day to help track down the fault. This involves running several commands, one of these commands is very CPU intensive and has caused one of our routers to crash previously.
We will be running these commands on telehouse-metro.core.enta.net at 03:00 everyday until Cisco have enough data.
telehouse-metro.core.enta.net was chosen as it has the smallest directly connected userbase of our core routers running the IOS version required for the tests.
